Careering around
I speak with so many people who feel trapped in their career. "I don't know how to do anything else," they say. "I'm too old/inexperienced/nervous to change now."
They think there is only one way, and the only way is up. And if they aren't stepping up onto the next rung of the career ladder, there must be something wrong with them.
Not true.
